Eagle Eye Jones
With roots in London, Sydney band Eagle Eye Jones blend funk rock with psychedelic blues groove, which makes any crowd move. After a year of playing together, Eagle Eye Jones have worked hard on refining a sound that they proudly call their own. Smothered by bluesy lead breaks and poetic lyrics, the band have drawn inspiration from a melting pot of artist such as Jeff Buckley, Sopwith Camel and the Grateful dead, allowing them to create a truly unique sound that is showcased boldly in their live performances.
The past year has proven productive with the boys landing gigs across iconic Sydney venues including Manly's Steyne Hotel, Selina's and several headline shows at the Flinders hotel, after high demand to send the crowd through the roof. It is their on stage antics and musicianship that truly showcases their love of live performances and pulling a crowd, but it's the explosive tempo changes, catchy hooks and funk driven grooves that encapsulate their performance and leave the crowd wanting more.
Hot Work
Picture yourself driving a beat up old Mustang across the dusty desert trying to cross the border into Mexico. A mixtape of early '50s rock'n'roll, '60s surf rock and frazzled doo wop beams from the car stereo. Every splash of reverb and bend of the whammy bar is answered by a fever-induced convulsion, or the apparition of a rattlesnake
