After Mardi Gras finishes, continue the party with Keep Sydney Open at Candy's Apartments and help keep the dance alive.

Keep Sydney Open and Dress Code Sydney are joining forces to bring you a night of House, Disco and Techno for an Madri Gras after party to remember. 

In October last year DressCode Sydney launched a new House and Techno night at Kings Cross Hotel called LVL3. The idea of the event was to bring back dance music to Kings Cross Hotel, a venue which once was the cornerstone of Kings Cross’ thriving music scene before the lock out laws were established. 

The event became a huge success with numbers in attendance exceeding expectations from week one. Sydney’s best house and techno DJs playing every week whilst also offering opportunities to upcoming talents in the scene. LVL3 was helping to build a community of people who were looking for a place to dance with friends to good music. 
However in January of 2019, Kings Cross Hotel were facing issues from the council regarding noise complaints from the new apartment block which had recently been built opposite to the venue. Since its completion Kings Cross Hotel has received numerous complaints, which in some cases has led to the roof being shut early and more recently threatened to be closed for a month.  A closure like this would cripple the venue with the majority of the weekly revenue coming from the weekends activity on the roof.
To mitigate any further risks to the venue, Kings Cross Hotel were forced to close LVL3 due to concerns that the noise leakage from this floor could further damage their relationship with the council and police. This is just another example in the long list of recent closures to venues and events that are forcing the culture of Sydney. 

When one of our supporters messaged Keep Sydney Open about this, someone on their team who also worked with Candys Apartment put us in touch with them for a last minute replacement and now we've found our new home. To say thanks we're hosting their Mardi Gras afterparty in conjunction with them at Candys. 

So Join DressCode and Keep Sydney Open at Candy’s apartment for a night to help show what a difference people can make to the scene. Door proceeds will go to Keep Sydney Open in their fight for Sydneys nightlife.
