Inaugural - SXPE 'South X Port Elliot'

SXPE is the start of how music events (at least) will be operated. If you are an artist, you get more than just a pay packet. If you are a punter, you get more than just an earlybird discount to the next event. This is a fluid concept and it's only just started. More to come in the weeks and months ahead on how the SXPE formula is going to change the format.

How this particular gig started:

There's a band, a group of mates if you will, that in my mind have that little speckle of star dust amongst them that can be propelled onto much bigger stages. Not everyone has it, but in my humble opinion 'Enjoy the Moment' do. The more chances they get to bust a move, the closer the dream becomes. This is how this gig started, friends helping friends.

It started out as a band night for Enjoy the Moment, which it totally is because steered in the right direction bigger stages await. But it's far from just ETM..

We also have one of SA's hottest up'n'coming Hip Hop artists Laitsi Diesa, who is back to show his talent in the right timeslot, a late night club set. Laitsi has just released his new single 'In And Outta Love' check it out. Love this guy, he is covered in star dust!

Many punters at the December show had fallen over by the time DJ Osyris came on and didn't get to witness the 2 X Australian DMC Champ in action. Batter up. You really gotta see the skills on the decks live to appreciate!

Add to the lineup Sonz of Serpent, fresh off a blistering Womad set, and we’ve got ourselves a cracking line-up. 'SOS' are hands down SA's best Indigenous rappers on the way up. But we're not done yet..

BLMY MDWS (bloomy meadows) is the sprouting "solo" project formed by Adelaide MC Steve Dedrick AKA Dedz Working with some of SA's nicest hip hop producers as the platform or soil to sow the seed of expression...  Expect thoughtful lyrics about life, the land & the garden..  Get up! It's bloomy season
